IDEFESE is a 30-month project (until end of 2020) concerned with ecosystem services mapping to inform urban and regional planning policies. Our case study is the Ile-de-France region, although the approach is applicable to other French cities and regions.
The project is led by the CIRED (AgroParisTech, Cirad, CNRS, EHESS, Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, Université Paris-Saclay), CNRM (Météo-France, CNRS), ESE (AgroParisTech, CNRS, Université Paris-Saclay, Univ. Paris sud), and the regional biodiversity agency (ARB). IDEFESE and the Paris region have been one of the pilot project for testing the InVEST software developed by the Natural Capital Project at Stanford University (presentation in the NatCap’s website here).
The project is funded by ADEME, the Ministry for Ecological and Inclusive transition, and AgroParisTech.
